SCBX receives overwhelming responses from investors for its 50-billion-baht making it Thailand's largest ever public offering

SCB X PCL (SCBX) achieved remarkable success with its debenture offering debut, worth a total of 50-billion-baht from 6 series, catering to individual, high-net worth, and institutional investors. The public offering (PO) series received an overwhelmingly reception from individual investors, with the 15-billion-baht fully subscribed within a short period of time. In order to provide more investment opportunities with attractive returns and low risk, SCBX exercised an additional 10 billion baht by exercising a greenshoe option. The 25-billion-baht total PO offering size marked as Thailand’s largest ever debenture public offering (individual investors) through 100% digital channel.

Expressing gratitude to individual, high-net worth, and institutional investors, Mr. Arthid Nanthawithaya, Chief Executive Officer of SCBX, said, "We truly appreciate investors’ confidence in SCBX's commitment and potential business growth. We are grateful for their trust in our first 50-billion-baht debenture offering, particularly for public offering tranche where we fully utilized our technology, making overall processes 100% digitalized for individual retail investors. This approach has enhanced effectiveness and enables us to pass through better returns to individual investors. We are strongly committed to offer safe investment opportunities available to Thai public. Hence, we have allocated an additional 10 billion baht greenshoe option, making the total value of the PO series 25 billion baht, to ensure financial inclusion for all. The grand total 50-billion-Baht offering also marked Siam Commercial Bank’s capability for its sole arrangement of the largest debenture offering.

"The successful debenture offering by SCBX reflects the public's confidence in the business potential of the SCBX Group, amid global economic volatility. The funds raised will be utilized according to our strategic plan to drive growth and increase long-term value of the group, aligning with our 'mothership' strategy to lead the SCBX Group to the regional financial technology leader." Mr. Arthid concluded.

The SCBX debentures are name-registered, unsubordinated, and unsecured, with a debenture holder's representative. The six series are as follows:

  • Series 1: The public offering of 4-year debentures with a fixed interest rate of 3.10% p.a., worth 25 billion baht
  • Series 2: 1-year debentures with a fixed interest rate of 2.61% p.a., worth 7.8 billion baht
  • Series 3: 2-year debentures with a fixed interest rate of 2.74% p.a., worth 5.5 billion baht
  • Series 4: 3-year debentures with a fixed interest rate of 2. 91% p.a., worth 6.7 billion baht
  • Series 5: 7-year debentures with a fixed interest rate of 3.48% p.a., worth 2 billion baht
  • Series 6: 10-year debentures with a fixed interest rate of 3.71% p.a., worth 3 billion baht

The debenture series 2 to 6 are offered to institutional and high-net worth investors (excluding institutional and high-net worth investors who are individuals).
